Transmedia Series
39 Clues
A franchise property for Scholastic, The 39 Clues launched in September 3008 to great review and a #1 spot on the NY Times bestseller list. The fanfare around this brand, however, is that it was the first transmedia property for tweens that simultaneously launched as a book series, a set of hundreds of collectible cards, and an online game experience that let players join the book protagonists on a worldwide hunt for the 30 Clues, using their cards to aid the search.
We were part of the core team that developed the concept and stayed on to serve as lead game designers on all aspects of the property.
